At NBMC, we know that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through our public initiatives.

Our Non-Profit Organization brings together counsellors, organizers and community members to overcome the isolation fostered by age differences, disability, cultural dislocation and discrimination.

Hands

We would greatly appreciate any donation you could make to our community mission.

NBMC is a non-profit and many of our activities are directly funded by community involvement. Remember that any donation greater than $2 can be claimed on your tax return.

Thank you for making our efforts possible!

"Ana has excellent skills in bringing us together as a group and giving everyone the chance to express their concerns and feel understood."

WHAT WE DO

Fostering greater cross-cultural and intergenerational links is our primary task. We seek to support, empower and provide high quality resources to our community in a safe and secure environment, staging direct engagement through volunteering, events and programs. Our success isn’t measured in terms of a profit margin, but by the comfort we provide to those we serve and the community cohesion we help to build.

 SUPPORT

No one should be isolated because of their age, health conditions or complex family circumstances.                            We offer programs and services for children, mothers, young adults and senior community members, including therapy groups, exercise classes, exclusive lunches, roundtables, counselling and interpreting services for those speaking languages other than English.

CULTURAL EXPRESSION

If you want to improve your English skills, but also keep your cultural expression, heritage and language, join us for conversations on topics important for children, young adults, mothers, older adults, including optimal health, local community services, preserving mental functioning, improving relationships and more.

GROUPS AND WORKSHOPS

We organize workshops for a variety of groups on a number of topics. Whether you're a mother facing parenting or relationship separation challenges or young person interested in philosophy, a carer or looking to better manage stress, a senior wanting to foster independence or anyone looking to manage anxiety, loss and life transitions, we have a workshop for you, led by a qualified counsellor.
